After a day of travel and random issues, we were ready to start our morning on the Wainiha Bay beach across the street from the place we were staying. It was so nice to see the beach from the upstairs window. While it tends to be a bit rainier on the North Shore in the winter, we were able to catch many moments of sunshine. This is when it really felt like vacation in Hawaii. We soaked up the sun as much as we could. That evening we made dinner with some purple sweet potatoes. I’m not sure if we cooked them incorrectly or they are just naturally starchy, but we decided we didn’t like them and we love potatoes of all kinds. We made sure to cook items we were more familiar with on the following days.
Mahalo.
